A
total of 68 players took part in extremely trying conditions,
with an almost gale force wind coming from straight off the North
Sea.
Most
players, before they went out onto the course, thought that to
even post a score of 30 points was going to be very difficult
to achieve!!!
After
the golf we all sat down to an excellent meal provided by the
catering staff.
We were honoured by the presence of Mrs Sheila Picken, who dined
with us and gave a very nice speech prior to the prize presentation.
The
club Captain, Brian Graver welcomed the members of the Society
to a very blustery Sheringham and hoped they all enjoyed the course.
On
receiving his prize for winning, Roy Girling congratulated all
taking part and thanked the Captain and members of Sheringham
Golf Club for the presentation of the course and the excellent
food provided.
Winner:
Roy Girling with 32 points on countback
Second: Roger Smith also with 32 points
Third: Bill Small 31 points
Nearest pin on 6th: Mike Coe
Nearest pin on 11th: Alan Keep
