Twentyfour members from each county had a very good day and evening.

The golf was played in very hot and sunny conditions on an excellent golf course at the Five Lakes complex. The result was very close, 8 wins for Essex 2 wins for Norfolk and 2 matches halved!!!!!

All players enjoyed the hospitality of the Essex captains, not only on the course, but prior to, and during the dinner in the evening.


Norfolk captains were welcomed by the Club President of Five Lakes, Barry Boniface, the response by the Society President of Norfolk, Alan Nichols was equally suitable, in that he was pleased that Norfolk had brought the Turkey and Essex supplied the stuffing.

He also wished the Society of Essex Captains further success in the coming year and also wished everyone a safe journey home. The Norfolk secretary enjoyed the occasion so much he forgot to take photos!!!!
