The Society held the first event of the year,
once again at Sheringham
Golf Club.
The weather was similar to last year, with a strong wind blowing,
fortunately there was no rain and quite a nice sun instead. Seventy-seven
players started from two tees, the third and the twelfth, from
0900hrs with the last fours off at 1012hrs, this enabled all to
finish in good time for an excellent dinner served by the catering
staff, just after 3pm.
The prize winners were:

In fourth place on countback with a score of 32 points, John
Tweed

In third place on countback also with 32 points, Jeff Duncan

In second place on countback also with 32 points, TerryHughes.
The winner with 33 points Ian Alderton.
The winners were presented with their prizes by the Society Captain,
Keith Bass and Mrs. Sheila Picken.
The Society were very pleased that Sheila was able to join them
for dinner and after she had said a few words to the assembled company,
the Society Captain presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
The winner thanked the greens staff for the condition of the course
and also the caterers for the food and the club in general for allowing
the Society to use their facilities.
