Ten members of the Society played against the
Norfolk Secretaries at Barnham Broom golf club, on Thursday afternoon
of the 23rd June.
The weather forecast was for rain most of the afternoon, but we
ll got away with just one torrential downpour at 1330hrs, it did
look to be set in, however the clouds quickly dispersed to leave
the course with sunny intervals throughout the afternoon.
After the golf, we were all treated to an excellent meal provided
by the Chef John Bachelor and his staff. He was called out during
the meal to be thanked by all for his excellent food served before
and after the golf.
The host Captain Robin Brooks welcomed all to the club and our
Society Vice-President Mike Bell suitably responded.
The
trophy was presented to the Norfolk Captains who won by 4 games
to 1, by Robin Brooks and he hoped that they would be able to
win it back next year at Ryston Park.
